nOOds - Flexible LED Filament - 24V 1.2m - Pink
This 1200mm flexible LED noodle runs on 24V for warm, neon-style lighting effects. Made from micro LEDs on a flexible metal backing with silicone coating, itâs PWM dimmable and best used with current limiting up to 500mA.
Our favourite food when hacking on code or electronics is a hot bowl of noodles â and in NYC theyâre often called ânoodsâ! These, however, are the non-edible kind: flexible LED noodles in different lengths and colours, made for creating seriously fun lighting effects.
Youâll often spot this style of lighting inside Edison-inspired LED bulbs, shaped into hearts or stars, or wrapped into warm decorative loops. Each noodle is made from dozens of micro LEDs bonded onto an ultra-flexible metal backing, then sealed in coloured silicone for protection. Because the LEDs are wired in parallel, you only need 24V to light them up â although we strongly recommend adding a current-limiting resistor and keeping the current to 500mA max.
You get one noodle per pack, perfect for adding mini neon-style glow to dioramas, dollhouses, miniature sets, and all kinds of tiny builds. They give the look and feel many people want from EL wire, but since itâs essentially one long LED strip, you can also PWM dim it easily.
To use it, apply 24V by connecting power to both ends. The anode is the metal end with the small hole, but if it doesnât light up straight away, just swap the connections â no harm done.
This particular noodle is, 1200mm long (thatâs 1.2 metres or 47 inches). The trade-off for the extra length is the 24V requirement. At full 24V itâs very bright and warm, so current limiting is a good idea â we found that limiting to 500mA (around 23V) gives a nice pink glow without it getting toasty.
