PCIe to Gigabit Ethernet Side Adapter for Raspberry Pi 5

Other Raspberry Pi HATs

The Waveshare PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Side Adapter adds a secondary Gigabit Ethernet port to your Raspberry Pi 5 via PCIe, without blocking airflow or HATs.

The Waveshare PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Side Adapter for Raspberry Pi 5 offers a different arrangement to your usual on-top or underneath HAT, sitting next to the Raspberry Pi 5 rather than on top/bottom.

This side-on format allows you to add a secondary Gigabit Ethernet interface whilst keeping hardware off of your Raspberry Pi, allowing unrestricted use of HATs, and ensures active coolers get the full airflow they need.

The adapter uses an RTL8111H controller to deliver Gigabit Ethernet via PCIe, offering 10/100/1000Mbps network speeds along with indication LEDs (green = 1000M, yellow = 100M). The board also includes the ability to connect 5V from your Raspberry Pi for additional power, but in most circumstances, this won't be required

The package includes the adapter board, transparent acrylic mounting base, custom PCIe cable, GPIO power cable and a fixings pack.
