RP2350 1.64" AMOLED Touch Display Dev Board

Development Boards

This is an RP2350-based development board from Waveshare, with a compact 1.64" AMOLED touch display along with a bunch of cool features making it a useful option for a range of projects.

The RP2350 needs no introduction but we'll do it anyway - it's microcontroller chip designed by Raspberry Pi, with a unique dual-core and dual-architecture design with dual ARM Cortex-M33 or dual Hazard3 RISC-V processor support, a flexible clock running up to 150 MHz and 520KB of SRAM, supported by 16MB onboard flash.

The display is a 280x456 1.64" AMOLED panel, offering 16.7m colours, controlled via QSPI. It supports touch input via I2C, so you can use it as a simple interface for your project without the need for buttons or other inputs.

The board is powered and programmed via USB-C, alongside a PicoBlade-compatible/MX1.25 connector for a LiPo battery (battery not included, but we stock PicoBlade-compatible LiPo batteries in the store). The LiPo battery will be charged when USB-C power is connected, thanks to the onboard charge circuit.

You'll also find a microSD card slot for storage, a 6-axis IMU (3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer), and the usual BOOT/RESET buttons and indication LEDs (power/charge).

What's Onboard?

  1. Reset button (RST)
  2. Brass standoffs ×4 (M2×4+3)
  3. W25Q128JVSIQ
    • 16 MB NOR flash

    • Dual‑core, dual‑architecture design; up to 150 MHz operating frequency
  5. MicroSD card slot
  6. QMI8658
    • 6‑axis IMU with a 3‑axis gyroscope and a 3‑axis accelerometer
  7. MX1.25/PicoBlade-compatible battery header
    • MX1.25 2‑pin connector for a 3.7 V lithium battery; supports charging and discharging
  8. Boot button
  9. Charge indicator
  10. USB‑C connector
    • For programming; USB 1.1 with device and host support
  11. Power indicator
